This is my first written in my primbon.. hahaa XD

 Now, we’re going to talk about of Recount Text

1. The Definition Of Recount Text

 

Recount text  is a text that is used to retell events for the purpose of informing or entertaining.

2. The generic structures of Recount Text

1. Orientation, tells about what happened, where the story happened, who was involved in the story, when it occured, or why it happened.
2. Event, tell what happened in the story. These are usually described in time order. When telling the events, we may use connective words, such as a few minutes later, next, then, finally, after that, the next day, meanwhile and afterwards.
   
3. Re-orientation, which tells the conclusion or the closure of the story or events (usually optional). 

In  a text is: 

3. The significant Lexicogrammatical features of Recount Text 

• Use of simple past tense
• Use of temporal conjunctions (when, after, before, next, later, then)
• Use of personal pronoun (I, we)
• Use of material processes
• Focus on specific participants
• Focus on temporal sequence
• Circumstances of time and place

4. The Example of Recount Text

Let me tell you my holiday experience. O.K?

Here is how it happened.

You know, my family and I went to Yogyakarta last holiday. We spent three days in an inn near Marlioboro street.

First, we visited the Sultan Palace, the Vredeburg fortress, Taman Pintar and Gembira Loka Zoo. we did enjoy our first day. We had the most delicious food in Yogya called Gudeg. 

The second day we visited Parangpritis Beach and Kota Gede. We played water, rode ATV and horse cart, and took some photographs in the beach. we spent almost six hours there. On our way home, we stopped in Kota Gede. we bought some silver wares.

Before we left Yogya on our trip day, we visited Baron, Kukup and Drini beaches in Gunung Kidul. Those were beautiful.

In the afternoon we left for Solo through  Magelang. 

We were safe till Solo. Though we were tired, we were very happy. It was our best holiday experience. :D
